The customer who was expelled from a bakery in Barueri, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, for using a notebook, was temporarily arrested this Tuesday (27), in Curitiba, following an operation by the Federal Police targeting suspected fraud in cryptocurrencies.
In the action, dubbed Operation Fast, which carried out two arrest warrants and six search and seizure warrants, in the cities of Balneário Camboriú, Itajaí, Londrina and Curitiba, the PF aimed to combat a gang suspected of operating in fraudulent projects creation of cryptocurrencies and NFTs (“Non Fungible Tokens”).
Businessman Allan Barros was arrested this Tuesday afternoon (27) in Curitiba. By telephone, lawyer Leonardo Dechatnik, who is defending Allan, told CNN that his client was never intimidated or warned about the investigation.
“The members of the group will be responsible for committing crimes against the National Financial System, criminal association and money laundering, whose maximum total penalties can reach 28 years in prison”, says the PF note about the operation.
Still over the phone, the lawyer defending Allan stated that his client “wants to prove his innocence” and that for him, the operation “was a surprise”.
According to Leonardo, the arrest warrant was served at Allan's house.

Fast operation
The Federal Police estimated that the victims could reach 20 thousand in Brazil and abroad, who lost, in total, approximately R$100 million.
The action targeted the group based since 2022 in Balneário Camboriú. The PF detailed that the scams were based on the same premise: offering a cryptocurrency developed by themselves and promising above-market profits from partnerships with companies.
To give credibility to the business and attract new customers, the launch of the new currency was promoted at a cryptoassets fair in Dubai.
As a result of the high profits not being met, the victims reported the case to the Federal Police, which, through the official channel for receiving and processing information about financial pyramids, began investigating the case.

The defense of Alan Deivid de Barros and the company Unimetaverso Gestão de Ativos Digitais e Marketing LTDA., represented by Dr. Leonardo Bueno Dechatnik, comes to the public to clarify information regarding Operation Fast, in which our client is being investigated.
Since the beginning of the investigations, we have maintained a collaborative stance with the authorities, seeking to clarify the facts in the most transparent and effective way possible. It is important to highlight that the process is being carried out under judicial secrecy, which prevents us from disclosing specific details about the case at this time. However, it is in our client's interest that the truth be fully clarified.
We categorically refute the allegation that our client has subtracted the amount of R$100,000,000.00 or harmed between 5 and 22 thousand people. These numbers, mentioned in the police report, are based on assumptions made by the police authority, without actual proof. To date, only a tiny number of these alleged victims have formally reported complaints, the majority of which are former employees and competitors in the business sector.
Our client and his company have never been the subject of lawsuits from investors. Furthermore, the police report identifies the case of an individual who pretended to be a victim, but who committed theft of the company's virtual assets and admitted to having hacked the platform. His confession was duly documented in a notarial record, which was attached to the Police Report and the crime report, presented to the Curitiba cybercrime police station.
Regarding the allegation that the resources subtracted reach the figure of R$100,000,000.00, the methodology used to reach such a conclusion is questionable, based on fragile evidence such as screenshots of conversations on messaging applications and unverified comments.
We emphasize that the decision to order preventive detention seems disproportionate, considering that the case does not involve violence or serious threats, and that there are more appropriate precautionary measures to ensure the progress of the process. Alan Deivid de Barros, first-time defendant, dedicated professional, does not represent a risk to society.
The defense is acting carefully in monitoring the operation, and legal measures are being adopted to correct what we consider to be arbitrariness.
We are committed to demonstrating our client's innocence and clarifying the facts, always respecting the legal process and collaborating with the authorities for a fair resolution of this case.
