The servants of the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) decided, in a meeting on Tuesday night (19), to start next Monday (25) a standard operation, with a duration of 15 days, with the objective of putting pressure on the government federal government for a higher salary readjustment, in addition to other demands.
According to the civil servants, the operation will halve the fulfillment of the activities set as the institution’s goals and may cause delays from the registration of public offers to even affect the procedures of sanctioning administrative processes.
“Standard operation can affect records, consultations, investigative processes and compromise the inspection performed by the CVM”, said Hertz Leal, president of the National Union of Employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SindCVM).
“It can also delay the processing of sanctioning processes, registration of companies and public offerings of securities.”
According to the servers, the mobilization is a reaction to the federal government’s announcement that it would carry out a linear adjustment of 5%, a measure considered unsatisfactory because of the accumulated inflation of almost 27% in the last three years.
“Mobilization can ultimately affect the integrity of the market, but civil servants need to speak up to ensure that their demands are met,” explained Leal.
SindCVM has committed to request a meeting with the president of the CVM, Marcelo Barbosa, to take the demands of the salary campaign, including the demand to make the return to face-to-face work more flexible, allowing a greater number of servers in full remote work, a modality that would have represented an increase in CVM’s productivity in the last two years.
In addition to the salary readjustment, CVM civil servants are demanding public tenders to remedy the institution’s staff deficit and the repeal of decree 10,620, which changes the management of civil servants’ retirement to the INSS, among other demands.
