It is worth clarifying right away that in testing DOOM, GTA V and Cyberpunk 2077 on a stationary PC, an engineering sample of the processor was used, and the author of the channel launched all the video games on the Windows 10 operating system using the Lintel 4.2 binary translator – it imitates the Intel processor.

In addition, the enthusiast himself said that Lintel 4.2 currently works quite poorly on the Elbrus-16C processor – because of this, the gameplay is sometimes interrupted by noticeable slowdowns, and the overall performance is most likely a little lower than what could be obtained with native launch of video games. But even with all the limitations and problems described above, the Russian development performed relatively well.
In GTA V, the system showed an average frame rate of 23 FPS when driving around the city. True, the author of the channel notes that sometimes there are noticeable friezes, plus after some time the game freezes tightly for quite a long time. Surprisingly, in Cyberpunk 2077 the situation is almost the same – the game starts at an average frequency of 24 FPS, but after a certain time the project just freezes (just like GTA V). This is strange, at least for the reason that Cyberpunk 2077 is a much more demanding video game with heavier graphics, but the FPS in the games is almost identical.
The system on Elbrus showed itself best in DOOM – here in open locations the shooter showed 40 FPS, while indoors the frame rate rose to 50 FPS. And most importantly, there were no friezes or freezes here – the enthusiast played quite comfortably for quite a long time. It is worth recalling that in Elbrus-8C in the same game, the frame rate in an open location reached 25 FPS, so the increase is very noticeable – almost twice. Probably, with GTA V and Cyberpunk 2077, the problem is either an engineering bug or Lintel 4.2, but DOOM is quite playable even now. It would be interesting to see CPU benchmarks in more mainstream games like Dota 2 or CS:GO.
