Cyclist is run over on SP beach during “Racha de Charrete”

A 37 -year -old cyclist, identified as Thalita Danielle Hoshino, was run over by a buggy that played a “crack” on a beach in Itanhaém and is hospitalized in serious condition at the sister Dulce Hospital in Praia Grande (SP). The case occurred on Santa Cruz Avenue on Sunday morning (23).

According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the driver of the buggy claimed to the authorities that he did not see one of the cyclists who were driving around. The man said he only noticed the presence of a cyclist on the left side of the vehicle, but did not notice another one on the right, who would have crossed in front of him and resulted in the frontal collision.

Also according to the SSP, who provided help to Thalita was the driver’s lawyer, who took her to the city’s emergency care unit.

In a statement, Itanhaém City Hall reported that Thalita suffered a severe cranioencephalic trauma (TCE) and underwent an orotracheal intubation (IoT). In addition, he clarified that the cyclist was transferred to the Sister Dulce Hospital, after being inserted at the Health Services Offer Regulation Center (Cross).

Gabriela Neves de Andrade, Thalita’s friend who was together at the time of the accident, told CNN who tried to warn about the buggies that came toward them at high speed. Gabriela said she deflected to the bush, but that Thalita went on sea and was run over.

As determined by CNN, Thalita Danielle lives in the south of São Paulo and went to visit the mother -in -law of Gabriela, in givotas, neighborhood of the coastal city. The friend also said that the victim lost her right eye.

The case was registered as bodily injury at the Itanhaém Sectional Police Station.
