Cyclone brings cold front to southern Brazil over the weekend; see forecast

The weekend will be marked by the passage of a cold front in the southern region of the country.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the cold coming from Uruguay and Rio Grande do Sul will cause localized rains in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, with the possibility of hail.

It should rain more in the northwest and north of Rio Grande do Sul and in the southwest of Santa Catarina, where the volume can reach 100 millimeters.

The Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul warned the population of “thunderstorms, electrical discharges, possible hail and gusts of wind”.

In Porto Alegre, temperatures alternate between 17°C and 22°C on Saturday (2nd), and 18°C ​​and 25°C on Sunday (3rd).

In Florianópolis, the thermometers mark between 15°C and 21°C on Saturday, and 17°C and 23°C on Sunday.

In São Paulo, the weather stays firm, with temperatures rising above 30°C both on Saturday and Sunday. There is a possibility of rain between late afternoon and early evening on both days.

In the North, Northeast and Midwest regions, temperatures are high, with the possibility of rain between the afternoon and evening. In Cuiabá, the city with the highest temperature forecast, thermometers can reach the mark of 40°C.
