Cyprus: 65.3% of adults fully vaccinated – 73.8% of adults received the first dose

73.8% of the adult population in Cyprus received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while 65.3% of adults completed their vaccination.

According to the Ministry of Health Of Cyprus, the corresponding rates in the EU are 70.4% with the first dose and 57.5% fully vaccinated.

According to estimates, It is estimated that 188,090 people aged 18 and over have not yet been vaccinated, of whom 129,267 are aged 18-39.

In relation to the vaccination coverage per Province, Paphos is still in the 1st place with 84% of its population having received at least the 1st dose. It is followed by the Provinces of Famagusta and Nicosia with 80.4% and 74.1% respectively and the Province of Limassol with 71.8%. Vaccination coverage in the Larnaca District remains below 70%, with the percentage being 67.8%.

A total of 10,626 vaccinations took place in the centers of free attendance all over Cyprus in the 2nd fortnight of July, when they operated (July 15-31).
