Cyprus – coronavirus: The boosting dose for people aged 40 and over starts tomorrow

Vaccination with a booster dose for people aged 40 and over starts tomorrow, November 17, in Cyprus, given that a period of six months has elapsed since the completion of their vaccination regimen (administration of a second dose in the case of vaccines Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca or the Johnson & Johnson monosodium vaccine).

According to the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, from tomorrow the beneficiaries will be able to be served in the free vaccination centers (walk-in) that operate in all the Provinces from Monday to Thursday, from 8 in the morning until 1 at noon. Alternatively, people aged 40 and over will be able to make an appointment through the Vaccination Portal from tomorrow.

It is recalled that people who received the Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna vaccine during the initial vaccination will receive the same vaccine for the booster dose. Individuals initially vaccinated with AstraZeneca will be able to choose an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna). Finally, people who have received the Johnson & Johnson monosodium vaccine will be able to be vaccinated with either mRNA technology vaccine or Johnson & Johnson.

All individuals must provide proof of identification (identity card, passports, Alien Registration Card, etc.), as well as their Vaccination Card.
