An incredible incident happened just before midnight on a flight that arrived at Larnaca airport.
At the time the passengers were disembarking from airplane, A 47-year-old passenger, while on the steps of the aircraft, lit a cigarette. A flight attendant, who was on the stairs, remarked to him to put out his cigarette, because there was a risk of ignition, since the aircraft was being refueled at that time.
The 47-year-old started shouting, as a result of which the flight attendant snatched the cigarette from his mouth and extinguished it, according to sigmalive.com, cited by the Cyprus News Agency.
Then the man slapped her and continued shouting, while lighting a second cigarette.
The flight attendant filed a complaint with the Police against the 47-year-old who was charged in writing with the offenses of violating the smoking ban, joint attack and causing concern.
