Meeting of the National Council under the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis took place at Presidential Palace in Nicosia, in the presence of the Attorney General of the Republic George Savvidis and the Mayor of Famagusta Simos Ioannou.

Also, the Attorney General submitted the views of the Legal Service on specific aspects, the mayor of Famagusta conveyed to the attendees the positions of the Municipality.
“The positions and suggestions of all political leaders were heard and views were exchanged on how to handle the Turkish provocation. It was agreed that the National Council will convene again, depending on the developments, during the illegal visit of the Turkish President to the occupied territories “, concluded Mr. Pelekanos, while answering a relevant question he said that he does not want to expand in terms of decisions taken at the meeting of the National Council.
