For her part, the Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, Dr. Elena Panagiotopoulou, presented the data on Molnupiravir, noting that although it is still in the process of licensing, it has received a recommendation from the European Medicines Agency in the context of emergency disposal, given the protection it has shown to offer through clinical trials carried out. In particular, Molnupiravir has been shown to reduce the risk of serious illness or death in people with Covid-19, from 14.1% in placebo to 7.3% in people taking placebo. Molnupiravir, from a group of 775 participants in total.
