A death and 3,851 new cases of coronavirus were announced today by the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, with the positivity index being 3.36%. In particular, according to the announcement:
– 1 person died of COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 636.
– 178 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 85 are in serious condition. 85.4% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
– 16 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be treated intubated in a serious condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
– 3,851 new cases of COVID-19 disease (positivity rate: 3.36%) were detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), bringing the total number of cases to 161,779.
A total of 114,743 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test method.
