A death and 978 new cases of coronavirus were announced today by the Ministry of Health of Cyprus. According to the relevant announcement:
– 1 person dies from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 625
– 162 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 66 are in serious condition. 77.78% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
– 13 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized in intubated condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
A total of 93,233 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test method.
In addition, 978 new cases of COVID-19 disease (positivity rate: 1.05%) were detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), bringing the total number of cases to 148,663.
