Cyprus: The government is considering a gradual easing of measures against coronavirus

Its president Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, will have today (10/03) with the main theme of the epidemiological picture presented by the country and the gradual de-escalation of restrictive measures against the pandemic coronavirus.

At 09:30 he will chair a cabinet meeting, while at 11:15 a wide-ranging meeting to restart the economy. At 18:30 he is scheduled to meet with the president and director of the Cyprus State Services Organization, as well as executive general managers of public hospitals.

According to the APE-MPE, the measures under consideration concern the reopening of the catering areas with strict protocols, the return of students to the Gymnasiums with physical presence and the presentation of a negative rapid test, as well as the traffic until 23:00 in the evening, from 21:00 which is valid today.

The new decisions are expected to be announced soon and will take effect on March 16.
