US ambassador to Israel Mike Haccabi said today that a building of the US diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv was damaged by Iranian blows in the country at night. There are “some minor damage caused by vibrations by Iranian missiles near a branch of the Embassy in Tel Aviv,” he wrote in X. Iran launched a new wave of rockets against Israel last night in retaliation. Apartment buildings in downtown Tel Aviv were destroyed according to a French agency photographer who saw members of rescue workshops research the ruins. Haccabi clarified that the US Embassy in Jerusalem will remain closed today as Israeli authorities’ instructions remain “in place” for residents to stay near shelters.
