Dangerous robots under water and on land: Horizon Forbidden West went to release

In February 2018, Horizon Zero Dawn took the PlayStation 4 audience by storm with its amazing setting, huge open world, and action-packed combat against a variety of mechanical enemies. And today, February 18, Guerrilla Games has released on PS4 and PS5 a continuation of the story called Horizon Forbidden West with a ton of improvements on all fronts. After all, this time the developers decided to go a little further, expanding the gameplay options and locations available to the gamer – the main character learned to swim under water, which promises new dangers, interesting discoveries and more.

Actually, the developers present the opportunity to go under water as an absolutely amazing gaming experience, which is directly related to the storyline and, of course, regular battles with scary robotic monsters of all sizes and types. At the same time, on land, which is quite expected, there are even more different types of enemies, and the robots themselves have become a little smarter, so defeating them with a bow and arrows (the arsenal of the main character was slightly updated, but the arrows are still in use) will be very even not easy. On the other hand, complex multi-faceted battles are the hallmark of the franchise.

The storyline has also received a lot of improvements – the authors promise more cut-scenes, dialogues, old and new characters, answers to important questions and thoughtful dramaturgy. Of course, the matured main character, who managed to pump up quite well between parts, raised questions from the audience of fans, but this does not affect the overall quality of the history of the local fictional world. Horizon Forbidden West is an incredible adventure, after which many other role-playing games will seem too simple, boring and mundane.
