Daniel Noboa says that “there is no doubt” about his victory in Ecuador

The Ecuador National Electoral Council declared on Sunday (11) President Daniel Noboa winner of the country’s presidential race after he maintains a constant and unexpected advantage of 12 points over leftist candidate Luisa Gonzalez throughout the investigation.

Noboa, a 37 -year -old business heir, stated in comments in the coastal city of Olón that there was no doubt about his victory while thanking his supporters.

“This event was historic, this victory was also historic, a victory of more than ten points, a victory of more than one million votes, where there is no doubt of who is the winner. And is based on perseverance, fight, the work of each of the members of this team, this team seeking this new Ecuador,” he exclaimed.

He promised to continue efforts to combat traffickers gangs and boost the economy in difficulty.

With almost 93% of the ballot boxes, Noboa got 55.8% of the votes, against 44.1% of Gonzalez, a difference of over one million votes.

The results contrasted strongly with the first round of February, when Noboa was only 16,746 votes ahead of Gonzalez.
