Dark red: the color that is scariest now is this. And in the new category of zones launched by the European Union, in Italy there will be four Italian regions that will probably fall within it: these are Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia e autonomous province of Bolzano.
According to the recommendations proposed by the European Commission those who want to leave these areas, even for essential trips, will have to undergo testing and quarantine for up to 14 days. At the moment the European map that contains these Italian territories is informal, the new official will be published in the coming days after further checks by theEcdc, the European Center for Disease Prevention.
The limit beyond which the EU has decided to insert the new color, to signal the high level of contagion risk, it is a number of cases greater than 500 per 100 thousand inhabitants and in the last 14 days, the regions in question in the projections made presented precisely this situation. In detail, Friuli Venezia-Giulia had a rate of 768 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano 696, Veneto 656 and Emilia-Romagna 528.
Besides the Italian regions they are colored in dark red too the Iberian Peninsula, with the exception of the northern part (from Galicia to the Basque Country), some southern and central areas of the France, the whole of Ireland, part of the Germania, the Czech Republic, some areas of Central and Eastern Europe, i Baltics, part of the Sweden e Cipro.
Finland, Norway and Greece remain orange which also has a portion that is still green, with even less infections.
