Dash Core Group Launches Dash Payment App for US Stores

Dash cryptocurrency developers have announced the launch of DashDirect, an application that will allow you to pay for purchases with DASH cryptocurrency at more than 155,000 retail outlets in the United States.

According to the statement, the new project Dash application will save up to 12% on purchases made by users. Mashall Greenwald, CEO of DashDirect and CEO of CrayPay, said:

“Once you enter the exact amount of your current purchase in the app, a discount of up to 12% will be applied. You will be able to spend DASH on everyday purchases as easily as dollars, but with the added protection that decentralized money provides and taking advantage of the unique DashDirect trading network. ”

The app will enable users to pay for DASH at popular American stores such as Best Buy, Staples, Chipotle, Home Depot and others. Although the initial launch of DashDirect is limited to the US, Greenwald said the product is in demand in other countries as well.

“We will need to expand our sales network to include merchants in other regions, as well as add localized currency conversion and language support,” added Greenwald.

He stressed that DashDirect is a non-custodian application. This means that users retain control over their DASH while using it. The app will include a dashboard to keep track of expenses and money saved.

DashDirect is further evidence that developers are trying to position DASH as a payments-oriented cryptocurrency. In January, the Dash Core Group announced updates for the Dash platform as well as the DashPay smartphone wallet.

Last October, the Dash Core Group made a statement that the Dash crypto asset can no longer be considered privacy-oriented, although it was originally positioned that way in the project’s White Paper.
