Is called Dating Sunday and it is the first Sunday of the year in which, usually, there is a significant increase in active users in dating apps intending to meet new people.

And as happens every year, this appointment (which in this 2023 would be Sunday January 8) would score up Tinder the record as «day with more swipe in absolute»: according to the data collected from past years, in fact, on the first Sunday of the year the swipes would have increased by 35% with an average of 12 profiles changed every second.

To help i daters from all over the world to start the new year in the best possible way, the dating app has decided to release What am I looking for on Tinder: A new feature that allows members to let a potential know Match what kind of relationship are they really looking for.

IS Kyle Miller, Vice President of Core Product at Tinder, explains: “This new feature was developed in response to a change we have seen among our members. Young singles, who make up the majority of Tinder subscribers, have the very clear ideas about the characteristics they are looking for in a potential partner. In fact, 72% of them said they wanted to be with someone who knows what they want ».

How to use the new feature

Just access your profile settings and choose from 6 objectives proposed the one that best reflects our intentions: from Serious relationship to the Nothing serious but let’s see or Still do not know.
