The Kraken cryptocurrency trading platform team has officially announced the completion of the leadership rotation.

Jesse Powell, co-founder of the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange, announced his resignation from the post of CEO in September last year. The exchange announced that COO Dave Ripley could become the successor as CEO.

As he left, Jesse Powell said that after the announcement of the rotation in personnel, the company’s management “focused on achieving a smooth transition” and creating the conditions for “the next phase of growth under the leadership of Dave Ripley.”

At the end of April, Jesse Powell finally moved to the position of chairman of the board of directors, and Dave Ripley officially took over the position of CEO of the Kraken exchange.

With the appointment of Dave Ripley, Kraken has three new leadership figures: North America Managing Director Guy Hirsh, Compliance Officer CJ Rinaldi, and board member Dan Ciporin.

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken recently obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and registered its subsidiary Payward Europe Solutions as a service provider.
