Davi Alcolumbre undergoes surgery and recovers well, says advisory

The adviser to Senator Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) reported this Saturday (7th) that the senator had surgery on Friday night (6th).

“It went well and he is out of danger now. He is under observation and will follow a few days in the hospital in São Paulo,” the note reads.

Alcolumbre was admitted to a hospital in Brasília on Friday afternoon after experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was later transferred to Vila Nova Star hospital in São Paulo, where he underwent the procedure.

According to his advice, he was diagnosed with an intestinal abscess. Alcolumbre is 44 years old and was president of the Federal Senate between 2019 and 2021.

Currently, Amapá presides over the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Senate, considered the most important collegiate in the House for being responsible for analyzing the constitutionality of proposals in the process and hearing of authorities.
