David Gail, Brenda's boyfriend on Beverly Hills 90210, has died at the age of 58

AND American actor David Gail has died at the age of 58known for playing Stuart Carson, Brenda Walsh's (Shannon Doherty) boyfriend in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210. The news of his death was shared on Instagram by sister Katie Colmenareswho, posting a photo in which she appears hugging Gail, wrote: «There has hardly been a day in my life in which you were not with me, by my side… You have always been my shoulder, always my best friend ready to face anything and anyone with me. I will hold you very tight. Every day in my heart, beautiful, loving, amazing human being, I miss you every second of every day». The actor, as revealed by the American newspaper, passed away on January 20th. And at least so far the causes of death were not disclosed.

Gail, born in Florida in 1965, had been one of the most prolific actors on American TV in the mid-to-late 1990s. As well as in Beverly Hills 90210 he had acted in the soap Port Charlesspinoff of General Hospital, taking on the role of Dr. Joe Scanlon. We had also seen it in Savannahin ER-Doctors on the front line and in 2002 next to Bradley Cooper in romantic comedy A girl for two.

His career is well known, however almost nothing is known about his private life: only once, at the end of the nineties, was there a rumor of one of his relationship (never confirmed) with actress Robyn Lively. Since then the actor, very reserved about matters of his heart, had no longer given any satisfaction to gossip. And in recent years he had gradually distanced from the world of entertainment (among his most recent jobs is that of a voice actor, in 2019, in the video game Blacksad: Under the Skin).

Now that the unexpected news of his untimely death has arrived, his former set colleagues are remembering him on social media with infinite affection. For example Tori Spelling And Jennie Garth, who dedicated a tribute to him on the podcast's Instagram page 9021OMG: «We are saddened by the news of the passing of our friend and talented actor David Gail. He will always be remembered for his excellent performance as Stuart Carson and for his many other roles. But also for his kindness with cameras off. We share this moment from a recent conversation and send our love to his family, friends and fans around the world.”
