David Rubinstein spoke about investing in cryptocurrency companies

American businessman, co-founder of the Carlyle Group and former cryptocurrency skeptic David Rubinstein said that he has recently invested in several cryptocurrency firms.

During an interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box, David Rubenstein said he was positive about the prospects for regulation in the US. According to him, quality regulation should push the development of cryptocurrency firms, and digital assets will gain a foothold in the market for a long time.

“Some blockchain related investments and crypto companies will stay with us. The youth now have both the intelligence and the energy to kick-start new trends,” he said.

Rubinstein did not reveal which cryptocurrency firms he invested in. But, for example, in 2020, Rubinstein’s investment advisor, Declaration Partners, led a Series C funding round for infrastructure solutions provider Paxos.

Earlier, the investor said that cryptocurrency is like a genie released from a bottle. He emphasized that against the background of the growth of the crypto industry and political tension, the volume of investments in digital currencies will increase.
