Two people were shot on Wednesday afternoon (11) during a shooting in the Cesar Maia community, in Vargem Pequena, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.
According to reports from residents, one of them is a daycare worker and the other is a man who has not been identified. The victims were taken to the Lourenço Jorge Municipal Hospital in Barra da Tijuca. Their health status was not reported.
Because of the action, residents set fire to some materials and protested. See images below .
The Military Police reported that military police officers from the 31st BPM (Recreio) patrolled the Cesar Maia Community. One man was arrested and a minor was apprehended.
According to the PM, a rifle, a rifle magazine, 11 rounds of ammunition, a pistol, a pistol magazine, 13 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a radio transmitter, a precision scale, 12 bottles of perfume, 110 capsules of cocaine, 501 packets of marijuana and 234 rocks of crack were seized.
The material was sent to the 42nd DP, in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood.
