True, the manufacturer does not plan to take risks, so before the launch of full-fledged production, Daymak representatives launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds among fans of an extravagant electric car.
Although, of course, the conditions of the campaign are quite non-standard – the user is not obliged to pay the full cost of the car or part of it. Instead, anyone can make a deposit of $ 100,000 to $ 50,000, after which that user will be able to pre-order and receive a discounted car when Spiritus goes on sale. At this point, it is necessary to clarify that the manufacturer plans to complete the fundraising campaign at the end of July 2021, but the production of the car will be launched at least in 2023. Accordingly, having invested a deposit, the car enthusiast will have to wait for another two years (if not more) until the car goes to assembly.
The very same representatives of Daymak report that they hope to receive at least 50 thousand pre-orders for their three-wheeled electric car on the eve of release. This is a fairly decent batch, which is only several times less than the total sales of electric cars from Tesla. On the other hand, Spiritus has at least two serious advantages that can really grab the attention of an audience. Firstly, it is a very fast electric car that accelerates from zero to hundred in 2 seconds. Even for an electric car, this is a fairly good indicator, let alone ICE cars.
Secondly, this project attracts with its low cost. Yes, for the top-end configuration of the Spiritus Ultimate you will have to pay 149 thousand dollars, which, of course, is very expensive – competitors are cheaper, while having a full-fledged interior layout. On the other hand, the company provides the opportunity to buy the basic version of the Spiritus Deluxe car for 20 thousand dollars – it has a maximum mileage on a single charge of 290 kilometers instead of 480 kilometers for the Ultimate version and much less technological innovations, but the price is more than attractive.
