Dead expatriate police officer in New York: He was dragged by a driver while regulating traffic

He tragically lost his life in the early hours of Holy Tuesday (27/4) Greek police officer on a Long Island highway in New York.

The 43-year-old police father of two, who was born in Greece, was regulating traffic on a busy street and was swept away by an out-of-control car driven by a drunk driver, resulting in his death.

According to ekirikas.com, the policeman was dragged in the east lane of the LIE, near Francis Louis Boulevard, by a 2013 Volkswagen car.

The driver was a 32-year-old woman from Hempstead who was under the influence of substances and her license had been revoked. He was arrested a little later by the Police and faces more than 10 charges, some of which are criminal.
