A young Finnish MP ended his life in the country’s parliament, just weeks after he revealed his fighting with health problems, according to the Daily Mail and local media. SDP MP Emeli Peltonen, 30, died in parliament today around 11am. Peltonen, first elected in 2023, was a member of the Board of Directors and the Parliament’s Legal Committee, as well as a municipal councilor at Järvenpää and chairman of the city council. In June, Peltonen revealed on social media that he was receiving kidney problems and had been licensed for a few weeks from his parliamentary duties to recover at home. He later revealed that he was infected by bacterial infection during treatment.
