Deadline for updating CadÚnico data ends this Friday (11)

The deadline to update data from the Single Registry (CadÚnico) ends this Friday (11), after being extended by 30 days by the Ministry of Citizenship.

Updating data in CadÚnico is a requirement for beneficiaries of social programs, such as Auxílio Brasil, Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC), Social Tariff for Electricity (TSEE) and ID Jovem.

This year, only families whose records were last updated in 2016 or 2017 are being invited. The scaling occurred due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

When there is no scaling, the guidance is that the data update is done every two years or if there is any change.

According to the ministry, the cadastral review processes “have been in progress since February and encompass eight million families”.

The review period was extended by the ministry last month, after long lines were found at the Social Assistance Reference Centers (Cras) spread across the country.

In addition to the Cras units, the Cadastro Único service stations in the municipalities are also available for updating.

“Families who last updated data in 2018 or 2019 will be summoned in the coming years,” the Ministry of Citizenship added in a statement.
