Brazilian workers can receive up to R$ 1,212.00 from the PIS/Pasep wage bonus this year. Those who have not yet withdrawn the benefit have until this Thursday (29), according to the calendar of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
According to the economic institutions responsible for the payment — Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil —, R$ 337.2 million are available for withdrawal.
Banco do Brasil, responsible for paying allowances to public company workers registered in the Public Servant Assets Formation Program (Pasep), has so far recorded 288,985 undrawn allowances — a total of R$262 million.
Caixa Econômica, responsible for paying the allowance of employees of private companies, registered in the Social Integration Program (PIS), confirms that 95,400 installments of the benefit have not been paid so far. In all, there are R$ 75.2 million.
The salary allowance to be paid in the current calendar is based on the year 2020.
After the end of the withdrawal period, the worker retains the right to receive the amount for five years, to be made available in the following calendar.
Who is entitled to the benefit
To be entitled to the PIS/Pasep salary bonus in 2022, the worker must:
- Be registered in the PIS/PASEP program or CNIS (date of first job) for at least five years;
- Have worked for employers that contribute to PIS or PASEP;
- Have received up to two average monthly wages in the period worked;
- Have carried out paid activity for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the year 2020;
- Have your data informed by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (RAIS) or in the eSocial for the year 2020.
How to consult and receive salary allowance
To check the amount available for redemption, just access the Digital Work Card or get in touch by calling 158.
The salary allowance is provided by financial institutions directly to the account.
In the case of Caixa, the benefit can also be withdrawn at branches (having an official identification document with a photo and CPF number), ATMs, lottery shops or bank correspondents (having the social card).
At Banco do Brasil, the option to withdraw the allowance in person is available at the branches, and it is necessary to have an official identification document and CPF number in hand).
