There are at least 28 dead and more than 150 injured from the a powerful explosion that occurred today, Monday (30/1) in a mosque in the city of Peshawar in the northwest Pakistan and many of the injured were police officers who had visited the mosque to pray, a hospital img said.
According to the German News Agency citing the city’s police, the explosion was possibly the result of a suicide attack and an investigation is already underway, while the incident occurred during the afternoon prayer in a high security area.
Many of the injured were taken to a local hospital, some in critical condition.
