Deadly floods in Malaysia: 72,000 people fled their homes

Mud from torrential rains in Malaysia have forced 72,000 people to flee their homes, while rain and flooding are forecast to continue.

At least two people lost their lives MrAs flooding has hit five states this week, authorities are setting up hundreds of shelters as the number of displaced people grows.

Videos on social media, whose authenticity was verified by Reuters, showed volumes of water inundating roads and farmland, submerged cars and overflowing rivers. Rescue crew members can be seen wading into waist-deep water to save residents.
