Deal for companies to delay 5G near airports avoids problems, says Biden

US President Joe Biden on Tuesday thanked Verizon and AT&T in a statement for agreeing to delay the adoption of 5G technology around some of the country’s major airports, as well as for their work with the Department. of Transport for the technology to establish itself securely “in this limited set of locations”.

Biden says the agreement avoids major potential problems for passengers and ensures freight forwarding and economic recovery, while allowing for the continued expansion of high-speed internet to millions of people.

The US president says the expansion of 5G technology and competition between internet services are crucial for his government.

According to him, work will continue to be carried out between companies and employees to ensure solutions for the surroundings of these airports.
