Death of Queen Elizabeth: Britain’s press headlines

Her death Queen Elizabeth at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle shocked the world and naturally the impact of the news was greater in Britain. The whole of the United Kingdom press is showing exclusively at newspaper front pages his “goodbye” to the late monarch.

All are monopolized by a photo of her, at various ages. In most, the background is black.

A similar photo was chosen by “Independent” which states: “Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022” and adds that Britain within 48 hours has a new prime minister and a new king.

The “The Times” they used the same image and wrote: “A life of duty” and “Queen Elizabeth II 21 April 1926 – 8 September 2022”.

THE “Daily Telegraph” chose Queen Elizabeth’s quote “sorrow is the price we pay for love” as the title.

The economic newspaper “Financial Times” summed up: “Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, has died leaving her people in mourning. But reflecting a life of duty in which he united the country through 70 years of momentous change.”
