A new version of the Debian distribution, numbered 11 and codenamed “Bullseye”, has been released. Updated software is available in the repositories, the support period is 5 years.

Debian 11 ships with Linux kernel 5.10, which has the new exFAT file system driver enabled by default, which is the default for mounting. The build and validation tools are provided in the exfatprogs package from the authors of the exFAT kernel implementation.
