Singer and actor Seu Jorge still hasn’t managed to register his son with the name ‘Samba’. The decision will be made by a judge, who will analyze whether or not the name causes embarrassment to the child.
The son of Seu Jorge and therapist Karina Barbieri was born last Sunday (22), at Maternidade São Luiz Star, in Itaim Bibi, south of São Paulo.
When trying to register at the 28th Civil Registry of Natural Persons, which has a unit within the maternity hospital, the artist was informed that the name is unusual.
According to notary sources heard by the CNN Seu Jorge was there again to talk to the owner and was supposed to send a letter explaining why he chose the name Samba.
This letter will be attached to the file and sent to a judge, who will decide whether or not to allow registration under that name.
This is a practice provided for by law, when the civil registry officer identifies the possibility of embarrassing the child with the name chosen by the parents.
Seu Jorge did not comment on social networks and his advisor said that this is a private matter.
