Decline in container handling in the port of Piraeus

According to data published by Cosco Shipping Ports, during this period a total of 1,786 million containers were handled from piers II and III of the Piraeus Container Station, while in the corresponding period of 2021 a total of 1,974 million containers were handled (down 9.5%). .

Also, in May 2022, a total of 391,700 containers were handled by the PCT, compared to 416,500 in May 2021 (a decrease of 6%).

In January 2022, a total of 386,800 TEUs were handled by the two piers, 349,300 in February, 362,000 in March and 296,600 in April.
