The husband of filmmaker Halina Hutchins who died tragically on the set of “Rust” blamed Alec Baldwin for not taking responsibility for her death. Matt Hutchins called the Hollywood star’s actions “absurd” and admitted he was “so angry” to see him speak publicly about Halina’s death. since he was holding the gun that fatally wounded her.
Halina was killed during the filming of the western movie last October when Alec Baldwin shot with the pistol he used to shoot.
After the incident, Alec Baldwin gave an interview to the American network ABC and stated that he feels sad, but no guilt. He claimed that “he could not say who” was responsible for her death.
Matt Hutchins: I was angry to see him talk about her death
Matt Hutchins, who appeared on NBC’s Today, spoke openly: “Seeing him made me so angry. I was angry to see him talk about her death publicly in such a detailed manner and then not to take responsibility after she had just described her murder. “The idea that the person who held the gun and caused the shooting is not responsible is absurd to me.”
His words come at a time when Baldwin is preparing to deal with a number of lawsuits that have been filed against him since the incident. The lawsuits have been filed by the script supervisor, the lighting manager as well and from Halina’s family.
Matt said there were “many responsible” for his wife’s death, adding that ““Arms safety was not the only problem on that plateau, there were many that were not implemented.”
