In a custody hearing this Saturday (23), the defense of influencer Ivan Rejane Fonte Boa Pinto, arrested for spreading false information on social networks against the Federal Supreme Court (STF), asked for relaxation and revocation of his temporary arrest.
The request was made by “lawyers for entrepreneur and digital influencer Ivan Rejane Fonte Boa Pinto – who was a candidate for councilor of Belo Horizonte in 2020”.
Felipe Giardini, the Federal Prosecutor who represented the institution at the hearing, asked that a view of the case be opened for the appropriate ministerial statement.
Judge Airton Vieira forwarded the requests to the rapporteur minister in the STF, Alexandre de Moraes. Until further decision by Moraes, Ivan Rejane remains in prison.
Ivan Rejane Pinto was arrested by the Federal police on Friday (22), in Belo Horizonte, by decision of Moraes, accused of spreading false information about the performance of the Court. He even resisted arrest.
In the posts on social networks that supported the arrest, the accused made several attacks on Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Gleisi Hoffmann and Marcelo Freixo, in addition to criticizing STF ministers appointed by the Workers’ Party (PT).
In the 2020 elections, Ivan even ran as a candidate for councilor of Belo Horizonte, but was not elected.
According to information from the Minas Gerais Public Security Department, Ivan was admitted to the Contagem I Penitentiary – Nelson Hungria on Friday (22), where he remains until now.
