The singer and actress Cassie Ventura 38, will be questioned by the rapper’s defense Sean “Diddy” Combs From this Thursday (15). Over the course of two days, the magnata’s ex-girlfriend witnessed about the more than 10 years of relationship with P. Diddy.
The defense will begin the interrogation of Cassie Ventura at 10:30 am in Brasília time. The judge said the prosecution and defense need to resolve interrogation issues before he begins.
Defense lawyer Anna Estevao said she expects the interrogation to extend until Friday (16).
JURI AND LAWYERS will address the issue of text messages before the arrival of the jury
After the jury was dismissed, prosecutors and defense lawyers discussed how they would deal with certain text messages in the case.
Prosecutors raised concerns about the defense having brought text messages that refer to Cassie Ventura having sex with someone who does not Sean “Diddy” Combs or a companion. They claim that messages would violate the parties’ agreement not to allow this type of evidence in the trial.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said the defense team wants to show the jury conversations between Combs and Ventura that refer to infidelity and jealousy and use a more “vulgar” vocabulary.
“This is the real way people express the hurt by realizing that there is a betrayal happening,” he said.
Judge Arun Subramanian asked the parties to present letters on the subject on Wednesday night (14). He also said that they will approach the subject this Thursday (15), in the morning, before the arrival of the jury.
