DeFi Protocols Curve and yEarn.Finance Prepare for Cooperation

YEarn.Finance creator André Cronier congratulated his project and Curve on the anniversary and announced the upcoming collaboration of two DeFi protocols.

Cronier added that the joint solution is currently being finalized and will be launched “within one to two weeks.”

Earlier, the creator of yEarn.Finance announced the takeover of Uniswap’s rival, the decentralized exchange SushiSwap. Prior to this, yEarn.Finance was integrated with Cream landing protocol, Pickle Finance project and Argent wallet, Akropolis project, and Cover Protocol peer-to-peer insurance market.

Analysts consider the interaction of Yearn and Curve as “parasitic”. Users deposit stablecoins into the vaults storage system to participate in profitable farming. This often results in a dump of the native Curve token, CRV, they receive. Some believe this is one of the reasons CRV has lagged behind other Defi tokens since its launch in Q3 2020. According to CoinGecko data, CRV was trading above the $ 15 level on August 14, and at the time of writing, the token quotes fell below $ 1.

Lead developer banter yEarn.Finance unveiled the Backscratcher repository late last year. It allows CRV tokens to be deposited (they cannot be withdrawn later) to receive Curve administration fees for all yEarn products.

The details of the new interaction between Curve and yEarn.Finance has not been disclosed.

On January 7, Cronje announced the beginning of yEarn.Finance’s collaboration with the Alpha Homora DeFi protocol, which is part of the Alpha Finance Lab ecosystem. Such integration makes it possible to receive leverage up to 90x in pharming income on deposits in stablecoins and up to 80x on deposits in Ethereum.

At the end of 2020, André Cronier presented the new DeFi project yCredit. The next day, blockchain developer Noor Haridi found an exploit in it. In November, the creator of yEarn.Finance announced a new decentralized protocol called Deriswap that combines swaps, futures, options, and loans on a single platform.
