Nova and Wind Hellas, members of the United Group, a leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeast Europe, decided to give the name Nova to the new corporate entity that will result upon the completion of the merger of the two companies.
The technically and operationally demanding merger project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Having already been consolidated under a common management team, the implementation of the merger continues as originally planned.
Upon completion of the merger, the new corporate entity, under the name Nova, will be the second largest provider of fixed and pay TV in Greece, as well as a leading force in the further development of the telecommunications industry and the digital transformation of the country. The new era for Nova will culminate in an investment plan of 1.3 billion euros over the next few years. The investment program includes the expansion of the fiber optic network to the home (Fiber to the Home) and the nationwide coverage of the 5G network.
“Nova” combining the experience and knowledge of the market of the two companies, with the know-how of the United Group and with a completely customer-centric philosophy, will offer innovative services and products.
“Nova” will act as a catalyst in fixed and mobile telephony, will upgrade its customers’ television experience through the content of EON – the leading pay-TV platform in South East Europe, while providing subscribers with an exclusive “season ticket” for all matches of the Premier League, for the next 6 seasons.
