The Public Security Secretariat of Bahia ordered this Tuesday (1st) the opening of a rigorous investigation into a case of sexual harassment involving police chief Antônio Carlos Magalhães Santos. He was removed from the police station where he was a regular.
Four investigators from the corporation denounced the police chief for sexual and moral harassment, all stationed at the 28th Territorial Police Station (DT) in the Northeast of Amaralina, in Salvador.
The Civil Police Internal Affairs Department is already leading the investigations, accompanied by the General Internal Affairs Department of the state Public Security Secretariat.
According to the Civil Police, the employees who reported the police chief are receiving psychological support from the corporation’s Medical Department. In response to the complaints, Antônio Carlos Magalhães Santos was dismissed from his position as head of the 28th DT. Despite his absence, he remains on the Civil Police staff until the investigation is completed.
In a note to CNN the Public Security Secretariat of Bahia reinforced that it repudiates and combats crimes of nature within and outside the Police and Fire Forces.
