A delegation of the pro -Kurdish Party of Republic and Equality of the Peoples (DEM) of Turkey met today with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss an attempt to promote a peace process in the Kurdish problem. Following the meeting at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, the DEM delegation spoke of an extremely constructive and promising atmosphere and stated that “today we are more optimistic than yesterday”. Members of the delegation consisting of Pervin Buldan and Sir Surrey Oder, DEM MPs – the same delegation that visited weeks ago and PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan in his prison on the island of Imrali – said after the meeting.
