Demand for international travel by Brazilians is still lower than pre-pandemic levels. The report by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) pointed out that the search abroad dropped 34.2% in April this year compared to the same period in 2019, and the supply of seats fell by 33.9%.
And the domestic market also follows the same path. Demand for flights fell by 9.9% compared to April two years ago, and seat supply declined by 5.8% over the same comparison period.
In all, 6.1 million passengers were transported across Brazil, a decrease of 16.2% compared to 2019. Aircraft occupancy was 78.4%, a decrease of 1.9% compared to 24 months ago.
The participation of companies among trips through Brazil was: Latam (34.5%), Gol (32.8%) and Azul (32.3%).
Charge transport
In April, freight and paid mail continued to register a rate above what was computed in years prior to the pandemic. The international volume, in tons, was 81,045, up 12.7% compared to 2019 and 4.5% compared to last year.
As in previous months, the number registered a record for the month of April since the beginning of the historical series.
