There’s no mistaking the house of Demi Lovato in Los Angeles with anyone else’s. Her house has eclectic furniture and playfully decorated rooms, reflecting the singer-songwriter’s dynamic personality.
“It’s totally different because the last house I owned, I didn’t have a vision for it,” Lovato told Architectural Digest on an exclusive tour of the 8,500-square-foot modern farmhouse she purchased in 2020.
“It was just an empty, white, minimalist, cozy house… I really loved living there, but at the same time, it felt empty.”
This time around, Lovato collaborated with Argyle Design founders Kat Bell and James Drew, who helped fill the house with fun and stylish touches, like a huge color-changing cloud lamp by Rania Peet suspended under a psychedelic mural of Jen Stark.
“I was at a point in my life where I wanted everything in my house to be super trippy,” Lovato said. “I wanted it to be kind of psychedelic and vibrant, but also to have good energy for when I have people over.”
Bell dubbed some unexpected items such as the ass pots, breast-shaped salt and pepper shakers, as well as mushroom-shaped benches as “LOL moments” found in the interior’s maximalist aesthetic.

Lovato enlisted the help of Eva Seta, director of communications at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, to line her home with works by emerging artists.
In her kitchen lined with Gucci Lilies wallpaper, a Lilian Martinez painting of a figure’s legs hangs in the designated breakfast nook, while Yasmine Nasser Diaz’s work, “Truth or Dare,” grabs attention in the dining room.
“I wanted it to be a very queer environment,” the singer said. “There’s a lot of female empowerment too, so keeping pieces that represent the female figure was really important to me. my house.”
Evidence of Lovato’s rock and roll sensibility permeates the environments. In the master bedroom, Atra’s Beluga chairs (where his guitar can be found resting) are placed next to a silvery bronze cheetah.
A “glam room” becomes an ideal space to get ready, equipped with a bowl of salon shampoo and decorated with a neon sign that reads “You are never fully dressed without a smile.”

The pool house has even been converted into a recording studio, and it is there that she conceptualized her latest album “Holy Fvck”, according to the publication.
The sprawling six-bedroom home also includes plenty of relaxing spaces with a backyard that has an outdoor kitchen, hot tub, fire pit, secluded patio and hammock area for your beloved Yorkipoos, Batman and Cinderella to roam.
Happy with how cozy it got, Lovato said: “I have no reason to leave, this is exactly what I wanted to live in.”
