Demi Lovato releases her own documentary about former Disney stars; find out more

The singer and actress Demi Lovato 32, is about to make her directorial debut. On her social media, the artist shared the trailer for the documentary “Child Star” her first directorial project, which seeks to address the pains and pleasures of fame for former Disney stars. In addition to Demi’s own accounts, the production features guests such as Drew Barrymore , Raven-Symoné , Christina Ricci, JoJo Siwa and Kenan Thompson talking about the subject.

“Child Star” is a partnership between Demi Lovato and the American streaming service Hulu. According to the official synopsis, the production explores the personal subject of early fame and the numerous challenges that arise when trying to navigate it.

“Growing up in the spotlight changed our lives forever. Thank you to all the former child stars who shared their stories with me in my directorial debut,” Demi wrote on social media.

In the video, the singer appears talking about experiences she had during her time at the station, such as productions in which she starred with stars Joe Jonas and Selena Gomez. She also refers to the dark side of her fame, such as her drug addiction. “I wouldn’t be where I am now, but it came with a price,” she reflects.

Other stars look back on their past at Disney. The production is set to premiere on September 17 on streaming. There is still no information about when the production will arrive in Brazil.
