THE Denmark will suspend the deportation of Afghan refugees, whose asylum application has been rejected, to their country of origin until October 8, at the request of the Kabul government in the midst of the escalating conflict in the country, the Danish Ministry of Immigration announced today.
The Danish government has announced that it has received a notification from Afghan government last month said Kabul would suspend for three months its intention to take back its deported citizens.
«The Afghan government’s decision means that in practice we can not forcibly deport people to Afghanistan until October 8, as forced repatriations presuppose that the Afghan authorities are ready to accept the deportee at the border.“, Stated the Minister of Immigration Matias Tesfage in an announcement.ss
