Arrested on Wednesday morning (4) in Recife (PE), in an operation that investigates a money laundering scheme and illegal gambling, lawyer and influencer Deolane Bezerra has previously been involved in other police cases.
The influencer became known on the internet after the death of her husband, MC Kevin, a funk singer who died in May 2021, at the age of 23, after falling from the 5th floor of a hotel in Barra da Tijuca, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.
Since her husband’s death, Bezerra began to gain millions of followers and act as a digital influencer. Today, on one social network alone, there are more than 20 million users who follow her routine through the networks.
Seizure of son’s luxury car
The most recent police case involving Deolane’s name happened last week. Last Friday (30), the influencer’s son had a luxury car seized by the police authorities due to irregularities in the car’s documentation, in addition to the lack of a license plate.
The vehicle, a McLaren, is valued at around R$3 million.
Drug dealer necklace
In February of this year, Deolane was also involved in yet another controversy. At the time, she posted photos and videos on her social media profile showing off a gold chain during a party held in a community in Rio de Janeiro.
The necklace in question, valued at around R$200,000, belonged to a drug lord from the Maré Complex, Thiago da Silva Folly, better known as TH. He is said to be one of the leaders of the Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP) and is also a fugitive from justice.
After the repercussion, the lawyer admitted to wearing the jewelry: “I went to Complexo da Maré yesterday, to the Disney Ball (…) I was well received, I didn’t spend a dime, I drank like crazy, I left at 10 in the morning, I took pictures with everyone, with a necklace, without a necklace. They put a necklace on me, they took it off and few others… That’s who I am, I came from the favela and I’m going to keep going.” she said after the incident.
Operation Integration
After being arrested this Tuesday (4), at the family home in Recife, during an operation launched by the Civil Police of Pernambuco, Deolane was sent to the headquarters of the Department for the Repression of Property Crimes (Depatri), in the west zone of the capital of Pernambuco.
The operation responsible for the arrest of the influencer and lawyer seeks to prevent crimes of money laundering and illegal gambling, and is the result of an investigation that began in April last year.
