THE Pernambuco Court stated that Deolane Bezerra’s family paid for a group of people to gather in front of the Recife Women’s Penal Colony where the influencer was being held. The financing of the protesters also served as an argument for the transfer of Deolane to the Buíque Women’s Penal Colony earlier this week.
The statement was made on Wednesday (11) by judge Eduardo Guilliod Maranhão, in a decision that denied the influencer’s last habeas corpus request.
“The financing of protesters, at the initiative of the Patient’s family, to gather in front of the Recife Women’s Penal Colony (Bom Pastor) and carry out a protest, demonstrates the total inconvenience of the Patient’s stay in its facilities, justifying her incarceration in Buíque”, says an excerpt from the statement.
A video circulating on social media shows Deolane’s sister, lawyer Dayanne Bezerra, allegedly distributing R$100 notes to protest participants.
THE CNN tried to contact Dayanne’s advisors but had not received a response by the time of this publication.
Deolane, who is also a lawyer, was arrested with 18 other people during Operation Integration, launched by the Civil Police of Pernambuco, on the 4th. The investigation is looking into crimes committed from betting houses and Deolane’s mother, Solange Bezerra, was also arrested in the operation.
“Safeguard public peace”
Back in closed regime, after having her house arrest revoked, the influencer is serving preventive detention at the Buíque Women’s Penal Colony, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, 280 km from Recife.
According to Judge Andréa Calado da Cruz, of the 12th Criminal Court of the Capital, of the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE), who signed the decision, the businesswoman was taken to the interior of the state to “protect public peace” and to “maintain social order”. Despite the attempt, Deolane was received by fans who gathered in front of the prison.
