A dermatologist in Southern California was arrested last week for allegedly poisoned her husband, who was suspicious of his wife so he set up a hidden camera to catch her in the act.
As stated by NewYorkPost Yue Yu was arrested Thursday (4/8) after Irvine police served a search warrant at the couple’s home.
Her husband – whose identity has not been released – told police she had been suffering from an unexplained illness for about a month.
“He suspected that she was poisoning him, so he set up a hidden camera in the house to confirm his hunch,” said Irvine Police Lt. Bill Bingham.
“His health was getting worse and worse and based on the husband looking at his routine and looking at what could be causing it, he became suspicious of his wife and installed a hidden camera that captured her poisoning him,” the officer also told the NYP.
Yu’s husband of 10 years – who turned over the video evidence to authorities – “suffered significant internal injuries” but is expected to recover.
The officer declined to elaborate or provide additional details about the poisoning, citing an ongoing investigation.
